Thank you for your interest in PLAN of Maryland-D.C., Inc., and our PLAN Life Trust.   PLAN was founded in 1985 by family members who had loved ones with severe mental illnesses. The founders recognized the need for help in caring for their loved ones, especially when the time came that they could no longer provide that care themselves. PLAN has evolved to offer family directed financial,  case management, and trust services which supplement, and eventually replace the care given by families. The PLAN Life Trust allows families to leave money for the support of their loved one with a disability without causing their loved one to lose eligibility for publicly funded services.
